BOOK DAY 7 MARCH 2024

Arysteq and the Directorate of the Namibian Library and Archive Services collaborate in celebrating World book day.

This World Book Day Celebration, Arysteq Asset Management and the Directorate of Namibian Library and Archive Services celebrated the joy of reading and the power of literature.

World Book Day, observed annually on 23 April 2024, is a worldwide celebration of books and reading, marked by various events and activities aimed at promoting literacy and a love for reading among people of all ages. However, this year we also opted to join the UK in celebrating with them on the 7th of March. Arysteq Asset Management in collaboration with the Directorate of Namibian Library and Archive Services is proud to have participated in this meaningful occasion by hosting 2 learners from 5 different schools at The Manor, which is the in-house library at the Arysteq Offices.

At Arysteq we recognise the profound impact that books have on individuals and communities. Through our efforts to celebrate this book day with the learners, we aim to inspire a passion for reading and empower individuals to explore new worlds through the pages of a book.

Purvance Heuer, Managing Director of Arysteq Asset Management did a book review on “Think and grow rich” and John Dylan Van Wyk inspired the learners with a review of one of his favourite books, “The Richest man in Babylon”. The day ended with a fun activity that all the learners could participate in, arranged by the School Library Services. We were joined by Sarah Negumbo, Director and Namutenya Hamwaala, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Namibian Library & Archive Services

Warm Regards

The Arysteq Team
