Arysteq partners with Apex

Arysteq Asset Management, Namibia’s leading and wholly Namibian-owned investment manager, has expanded its long-term partnership with Apex Group, the leading global financial services provider, by adopting Apex Group’s open-ended fund administration and transfer agency services.

This marks another important milestone in Arysteq’s growth journey, having started as a Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) incubation manager to becoming a leading manager, Arysteq contributes significantly to Namibia’s localisation and financial sector development goals.

Arysteq, which today manages over NAD 4 billion in assets, demonstrates innovation and excellence, including being the first Namibian investment manager to launch and list an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). That ETF is fully administered by Apex Group.

Arysteq is also the first Namibian, and first African, asset manager to subscribe to Apex Group’s RiskMonitor platform, providing advanced risk oversight and regulatory reporting capabilities.

Sybil Somaes, Country Head of Namibia at Apex Group, said:

“Arysteq’s success story is one of resilience, innovation, and commitment to Namibia’s economic growth. As a local partner on the ground, Apex Group is proud to walk this journey with them, supporting their vision with global best practice and technology. Together, we are showcasing that Namibia’s financial sector has the capability and expertise to compete regionally and internationally.”

Purvance Heuer, Managing Director of Arysteq Asset Management, said:

“We love partnering with the right people in our business relationships. Sybil and the team at Apex Group has been phenomenal in helping to build the Arysteq brand and in ensuring that our values of relationships and innovation remain strong. Their involvement has allowed us to ensure that we focus on our core business, which is in delivering superior returns and superior service to our clients.”
