On 31 July 2025, Arysteq Asset Management proudly participated in the Finance & Commerce Career Fair hosted and organised by the University of Namibia Accounting Society (UNAS) in collaboration with the CFA Namibia Chapter, under the theme “Charting Prosperity: Where Namibia’s Talent Meets Opportunity.”
The career fair stands as a career development initiative designed to connect promising accounting, finance, economics, and commerce students with the leading industry stakeholders who continue to shape Namibia’s economic landscape. It provided a platform for meaningful engagement, industry insight, and professional inspiration, a true meeting point of talent and opportunity.
As one of Namibia’s leading financial and investment management institutions, Arysteq’s presence underscored our commitment to national skills development, mentorship, and graduate readiness. This reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the development of future professionals in finance and investment, while encouraging the growth of Namibia’s financial sector talent pool.
Our involvement in the career fair reflects who we are as an organisation. At Arysteq, relationships are the foundation of everything we do with our clients, our colleagues, and the communities we serve. We approach every engagement with excellence, striving to set the highest standards in both our work and our interactions. Patience underpins our investment philosophy, guiding us to think long-term, just as we do with emerging talent. Innovation drives us to seek fresh perspectives and creative solutions, enabling us to adapt in a rapidly evolving industry. And above all, passion fuels our dedication, to our craft, to our clients, and to the future of Namibia’s financial sector.
The event’s opening ceremony was followed by a series of insightful addresses, including remarks from our Head of Research and Portfolio Manager, Dean Isaaks CA(SA), CFA, who was invited to speak in his capacity as a representative of the CFA Namibia Chapter. He encouraged students to approach their career aspirations, particularly within the CFA profession, with deliberate thought, self-awareness, and a clear understanding of their personal motivations. His message resonated deeply, urging future finance professionals to anchor their ambitions in purpose and resilience rather than fleeting incentives. He urged students to ensure that their motivation extends beyond surface-level rewards. Offering a piece of wisdom, he remarked, “If your ‘why’ is tested with your first step in the journey, you need to go back to the drawing board.”
Throughout the day, our research and marketing team engaged with a diverse range of students, from inquisitive high school learners eager to understand the world of finance, to final-year university students preparing to embark on their professional journeys. The conversations were rich and informative, allowing us to share not only the work we do at Arysteq but also the principles, culture, and people that drive our organisation.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Students expressed appreciation for the insights provided, the approachable nature of our team, and the opportunity to engage directly with professionals working in the investment management sector. The level of interest shown reinforces our belief that such initiatives have a tangible impact on career awareness and readiness among Namibia’s youth.
The Finance & Commerce Career Fair 2025 was more than just an exhibition, it was a celebration of local talent, potential, ambition, and the shared responsibility between academia and industry to equip the next generation with the tools they need to thrive. It highlighted the depth of skill and promise within Namibia’s future finance professionals, reminding all participants of the importance of nurturing and retaining this talent. For Arysteq Asset Management, it was both a privilege and a strategic imperative to participate. We remain confident that the seeds of inspiration planted during this event will, in time, grow into the careers that will shape Namibia’s economic future.
